Claire Gaudion is a luxury textile design company specialising in printed and woven textiles for fashion and interiors, launched in 2012. Claire Gaudion's award-winning, British-made collections are sold internationally and have been featured by Elle Decoration, Homes & Gardens, The Times, The Sunday Times, FT How to Spend It and Country Living magazine, among others.
Claire Gaudion’s contemporary designs are renowned for their unique and striking use of colour and pattern. Working across printed and woven textiles, Claire experiments with new design ideas by interlacing coloured threads and exploring weave structures at the loom, which inspires digital pattern designs, and vice versa
Guernsey is a great source of inspiration to Claire. Her home island’s dramatic granite coastal landscape, continually changing with the tides and weather, informs the layers of colour and pattern in Claire’s designs which capture this sense of movement and rhythm. Claire is also drawn to the work of Bauhaus weavers, artists and colourists, in particular Robert and Sonia Delaunay, Paul Klee, Anni Albers, Gunta Stölzl, admiring their skilled craftsmanship, and their exploration and use of colour and form.
